Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that circumstances change. This policy outlines the cancellation and refund terms for each of our products and services.

1. Signature Programs

Cooling-off period

You may cancel your enrolment within 3 calendar days of your purchase date for a full refund, provided you have not accessed any course content (recorded modules, live sessions, worksheets, or community resources).

To request a cancellation within the cooling-off period, email [email protected] within 3 days of purchase. Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

After the cooling-off period

Once the 3-day cooling-off period has passed, or once you have accessed any course content (whichever occurs first), no refunds will be issued.

Payment plans

If you are on a payment plan and choose to cancel your payment plan after the cooling-off period, your access to the program and all associated content will be removed. Outstanding payments will not be pursued, but no refund will be issued for payments already made.

If a scheduled payment fails, we will attempt to contact you to resolve the issue. If payment is not resolved within 7 days, your access will be suspended.

Access period

Recorded module access is available for 1 months from your enrolment date. Live sessions and community access are available for the duration of the program as communicated at the time of enrolment.

2. Mental Health First Aid Courses

No refunds

Due to the nature of live training delivery and the costs associated with participant registration through Mental Health First Aid Australia, refunds are not available for MHFA courses.

Transfers

If you are unable to attend your scheduled course date, you may transfer your enrolment to another available date at no additional cost, provided you notify us at least 7 days before your original course date.

Substitutions

For face to face Mental Health First Aid courses, if you are unable to attend and a transfer is not possible, you may nominate a substitute participant. Please notify us at least 48 hours before the course date so we can update the registration details.

This is not available for online Mental Health First Aid, as self-directed e-learning would already have been linked to the original participant.

Non-attendance

If you do not attend your scheduled course and have not requested a transfer or substitution, no refund or credit will be issued.

3. Mini Courses

Due to the nature of self-paced digital content, mini courses are non-refundable once purchased and access has been granted.

If you experience a technical issue preventing access, please contact us at [email protected] and we will resolve it promptly.

4. Group and Workplace Bookings

For organisations booking team training (6 or more participants), cancellation and refund terms will be outlined in your booking agreement or proposal.

As a general guide:

  • Cancellations made 14 or more days before the training date: full refund or transfer to a new date, with a $100 administration fee removed from the total cost.
  • Cancellations made 7–13 days before the training date: 50% refund or transfer to a new date at no cost.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the training date: no refund. Transfer to a new date may be available on a case-by-case basis.

Participant substitutions can be made at any time by notifying us at least 48 hours before the training date.

5. Free Workshops and Events

Free workshops and events do not require payment and therefore no refund applies. If you register and are unable to attend, no action is required.

6. Cancellation by Lauren Pattinson

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a course, program, or event, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date. We will provide as much notice as possible in these circumstances.

7. How to Request a Cancellation or Transfer

All cancellation, refund, and transfer requests should be sent to:

Please include your full name, the product or course you are enquiring about, and your reason for cancellation. We will respond within 1–2 business days.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product or service is faulty, not as described, or fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy regardless of this policy.
