Workplace Training

Mental health capability, built for health and disability teams

Practical training for allied health organisations, disability providers and clinical teams navigating complex client needs, risk, and the weight of holding responsibility for others.

Health and disability organisations are holding more than most

Complex client presentations. Risk that sits alongside duty of care. Teams stretched across NDIS pressures, waitlists, and the emotional weight of the work itself. And often, not enough structured support to match any of it.

Your team doesn’t need another poster on the wall, or a one off session that gets talked about for a week and then quietly forgotten. They need something they can actually use, in the moment a client discloses something serious, or a case becomes more complex than anyone anticipated, and nobody’s quite sure what the right next step is.

This is where I work.

What We Cover

Every organisation carries its own version of complexity, so nothing here is one size fits all.

Accredited and tailored training

Depending on what your team actually needs, this can look like Mental Health First Aid accreditation, ongoing coaching for clinicians and team leaders, or tailored training built specifically around your client base and risk profile.

Shorter, focused learning

It can also mean shorter, focused learning, mini courses on a single topic your team needs right now, or structured email based learning that lets people build capability at their own pace, without pulling everyone out of a full day session.

Case based learning

For teams already navigating real complexity, I design case based learning, working through the actual client situations and dilemmas your people are facing, and embedding the frameworks directly into how your team already works.

This can include:

  • Recognising escalating risk early
  • Having difficult conversations with clients and families
  • Understanding suicide and self harm risk and how to respond
  • Safeguarding and duty of care
  • Supporting your team to hold this work sustainably, without it costing them their own wellbeing

How It Works

Training is delivered onsite or online, and shaped around your team’s size, goals and timing, whether that’s a single half day session, a blend of formats, or an ongoing partnership that grows with your organisation over time.

Why This Approach

None of this comes from theory alone. It comes from nearly 20 years in clinical mental health, and from 12 years founding and leading Allay, a multidisciplinary organisation of over 80 clinical staff. I’ve held the same clinical risk, the same team pressure, and the same responsibility for client outcomes that your organisation is holding right now.

If you’re navigating this in your own team right now, I’d love to hear what’s going on, and recommend the right mix of training for your team.
